Kaycho Indian Restaurant is looking for enthusiastic, friendly, and customer-focused Front of House Staff to join our growing team.
This role is ideal for someone with previous restaurant or hospitality experience who enjoys providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment. A basic knowledge of Indian food is preferred, enabling you to confidently assist guests with menu recommendations and answer general questions about our dishes.
We particularly welcome applications from part-time students looking to gain valuable hospitality experience while balancing their studies. Full training on our menu, service standards, and restaurant procedures will be provided.
Successful candidates will have the opportunity to develop their skills and progress into a full-time, permanent position based on performance and commitment.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome guests with a warm and professional attitude.
- Seat customers and manage reservations efficiently.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately using the EPOS system.
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations from the menu and answer customer enquiries.
- Have a basic understanding of Indian cuisine to assist guests with dietary requirements and menu choices.
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining excellent service standards.
- Ensure tables and dining areas are clean, organised, and well-presented throughout service.
- Process payments accurately.
- Work closely with the kitchen and other front of house team members to ensure smooth service.
- Handle customer feedback and resolve issues professionally.
- Follow all food hygiene, health and safety, and company procedures at all times.
Qualifications & Skills
- Previous experience in a front of house, restaurant, café, or hospitality role is essential.
- Basic knowledge of Indian food and cuisine.
- Part-time students are preferred and encouraged to apply.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Friendly, confident, and professional manner.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy restaurant environment.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work evenings and weekends.
- A positive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow within the hospitality industry.
