Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about early childhood education and committed to providing a safe, stimulating, and supportive environment for young children. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a vital role in the development and well-being of children in our care, fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive growth through engaging activities and interactions.
Responsibilities
- Create and implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote learning and development.
- Observe and assess children's progress, documenting their achievements and areas for improvement.
- Provide a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for children to explore and learn.
- Build strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to support the child's development.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, safeguarding policies, and nursery procedures.
- Support children during meal times, ensuring they develop healthy eating habits.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive atmosphere within the nursery.
- Attend training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Qualifications
- A relevant qualification in Early Years Education (e.g., Level 2 or Level 3 Diploma in Childcare).
- Experience working with young children in a nursery or similar setting is preferred.
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and colleagues.
- A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their development.
- Ability to work as part of a team while also demonstrating initiative when required.
- Knowledge of child development theories and practices is advantageous.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development in early years education.
Our full time shifts are 7.30am - 5.30pm and 8am - 6pm, 4 days a week or hours split over 5 days. Part time considered over 2/3 days.
