Job Title: Chef / Cook – Nursing Home
Location: Lanam Healthcare
Hours: 45 hours per week

Lanam Healthcare is currently seeking an experienced and passionate Chef/Cook to join our dedicated team in our 70-bedded nursing home. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who takes pride in preparing nutritious and delicious meals while supporting the wellbeing of elderly residents.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook meals to a high standard for up to 70 residents
Plan menus in line with residents' dietary needs and preferences
Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards
Work with the care team to accommodate special diets, including IDDSI modified diets
Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment
Order and manage stock effectively
Requirements:
Proven experience as a chef or cook, ideally in a care or healthcare setting
Good knowledge of nutrition and dietary requirements for older adults
Understanding or experience with IDDSI modified diets is highly desirable
Strong organisational and time-management skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Food hygiene certification required
