Join Our Caring Community Team and Make Every Moment Count
Are you a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant looking for a role where you can make a real difference when it matters most?
We are seeking caring and empathetic Healthcare Assistants to join our dedicated team here in Glasgow, delivering exceptional end-of-life care to people across Glasgow City delivering our Hospice Care at Home service. In this rewarding role, you'll provide vital support to patients and their families in the comfort of their own homes, helping them maintain dignity, comfort and quality of life during some of life's most challenging moments.
What you will be doing:
No two days are the same. Working independently and alongside colleagues, you'll travel throughout the community, providing personalised care tailored to each individual's needs and circumstances. Your kindness, professionalism and ability to build meaningful connections will have a lasting impact on those we support.
As a Healthcare Assistant, you'll deliver hands-on personal care, assist with medication, support daily living activities and, where required, help with meal preparation. You'll be part of a fast-paced service supporting people recently discharged from hospital, those with palliative care needs, and individuals approaching the end of life.
Working closely with District Nurses, Health and Social Care Partnership teams, hospice colleagues and wider multidisciplinary professionals, you'll play a key role in ensuring seamless, compassionate care. While much of your work will be supporting patients in their own homes, there may also be occasions where you'll provide support to teams within the hospice environment.
If you're passionate about delivering outstanding care, thrive in a varied community-based role, and want to be part of an organisation that truly makes a difference every day, we'd love to hear from you.
