Duties
- Plan and execute engaging training sessions that improve players’ technical skills, fitness, and game understanding
- Teach fundamental football techniques, rules, and strategies in an age-appropriate manner
- Foster teamwork, sportsmanship, and positive communication among players
- Provide constructive feedback to help athletes improve their performance and confidence
- Ensure safety protocols are followed during practices and games to prevent injuries
- Support team cohesion by organizing team-building activities and encouraging inclusive participation
- Collaborate with other coaches and program coordinators to coordinate schedules, events, and tournaments
Requirements
- Prior experience in sports coaching or playing football at any level is desirable however training provided
- Strong teaching skills with the ability to communicate effectively with youth of diverse backgrounds
- Passion for mentoring young people and promoting healthy physical activity
- Ability to motivate and inspire athletes while maintaining a positive attitude
- Knowledge of safety standards related to sports coaching and injury prevention
- Flexibility to commit to scheduled practices, games, and community events
- Willingness to undergo background checks as part of safeguarding youth participants
