Job Overview
We are seeking a caring and responsible Private Nanny to provide dedicated childcare for a family. The ideal candidate will be nurturing, organised, and able to create a safe, stimulating environment. This role offers an opportunity to build a meaningful relationship with the family while supporting the child's development and well-being. The position requires reliability.
We are working professionals with 2 children. A 15 year old son and 8 year old girl.
Duties
- Supervising and engaging children in age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development.
- Delivering speech and language therapy targets (supported by and overseen by therapist).
- Collecting children from school and taking to afterschool activities.
- Preparing nutritious meals and snacks suitable for the child's dietary needs
- Assisting with daily routines such as dressing, bathing, and bedtime preparations
- Organising educational games, crafts, and outdoor activities to encourage creativity and physical activity
- Managing children's schedules including appointments, school runs, and extracurricular activities
- Maintaining a safe environment by childproofing areas and monitoring safety at all times
- Performing light household duties related to the children's care, such as cooking, laundry and tidying up toys and clothes
- Communicating regularly with parents regarding the child's progress, behaviour, and any concerns.
Experience
- Previous experience working as a nanny, nursing or care is highly desirable
- Experience with autistic children is essential.
- Ability to deliver speech and language therapy targets, overseen by therapist.
- Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and effectively
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently
- Strong communication skills to foster positive relationships with children and parents
- Relevant qualifications such as paediatric first aid certification are advantageous but not essential
The successful candidate will demonstrate professionalism, patience, and a genuine love for working with children.
Pay: £13.00-£15.00 per hour
