Part-Time Administrator & Business Development Research Assistant
Location: Shoeburyness, Essex (Office Based)
Hours: 20 Hours per Week
Preferred Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 1:00pm (flexibility available for the right candidate)

Savills Catering is a growing contract catering company providing catering services to sheltered housing schemes, extra care housing, supported living environments and residential communities across the South of England.
We are a small, friendly Head Office team based in Shoeburyness and are looking for an organised, proactive, and enthusiastic Administrator & Business Development Research Assistant to join us.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys research, administration, organisation, and being involved in a variety of business activities within a supportive and welcoming office environment.
About the Role
The primary focus of this role will be identifying and researching new business opportunities to support the continued growth of the company.
You will be responsible for monitoring tender portals, researching potential contract opportunities, maintaining business development diaries, and ensuring important deadlines and opportunities are tracked and communicated to the management team.
Alongside business development support, you will also assist with a range of office administration duties and play an important role in supporting the day-to-day operation of the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Researching potential new business opportunities and contract tenders
- Monitoring tender portals and procurement websites
- Tracking contract renewal dates and upcoming tender opportunities
- Maintaining business development schedules and key diary dates
- Producing research reports and summaries for the management team
- Passing qualified business leads to management for follow-up
- Answering incoming telephone calls and enquiries
- Responding to email enquiries and directing queries appropriately
- Assisting with onboarding and administration for new employees
- Supporting staff scheduling and rota administration
- General office administration and filing
- Assisting with compliance and record management
- Providing administrative support to the senior management team
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Highly organised and detail-oriented
- Confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Word and Excel
- Comfortable carrying out internet research and gathering information
- Able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Professional, friendly and approachable
- An excellent communicator, both written and verbal
- Proactive and able to work independently
- Experienced in administration (preferred but not essential)
