About Community Integrated Care
Community Integrated Care is one of the UK’s largest health and social care charities. We transform lives by delivering high-quality, person-centred support that fosters independence and empowerment.
Our charity was founded in 1988 and we were one of the pioneers of the ‘Care in the Community’ agenda, enabling people to move out of long-stay institutions and live more fulfilling lives.
Since then, we’ve remained leaders in social care, providing bespoke support to thousands across the UK. Today, we support more than 2,600 people and employ 6,600 caring and committed colleagues across England and Scotland.
We have a proud history of breaking boundaries and are always looking for new ways to make a positive difference through bold ideas, innovative projects and impactful partnerships.
Are you an experienced Care Assistant or Support Worker?
Do you have a genuine desire to help improve the lives of vulnerable people?
If so, we want to hear from you!
We are recruiting for a Part Time Support Worker to join our team who support 4 individuals who live in their own homes in the Penilee (G52) area of Glasgow.
Here, we support individuals to live the best lives possible by providing support with whatever they need. They are very active in their community and enjoy a wide range of activities including going to shows, watching ice hockey, going out in the car, walks, going to the cinema, spending time with family and doing arts and crafts.
As we have a house vehicle, the successful applicant must hold a UK driving license.
Your main goal will be to provide the right support so they can be as independent as possible and are supported to make their own choices.
Day shifts are between 7am - 7pm or 8am - 8pm and will require flexibility to work some weekends.
We are looking for a highly reliable and motivated colleague who is passionate and eager to learn our routines and preferences.
Our staff team needs to be patient and understanding of our needs and behaviours. Always acting in a person-centred way and offering personalised support.
We know it takes a special person to work in social care and we recognise that not everyone that would be perfect for the role, will have professional experience. This is why we're really passionate about recruiting to individuals’ values and we recruit people from all walks of life; From people with vast experience in a support worker or care assistant role, from people with lived experiences who may have friends or relatives with disabilities or have looked after older relatives, to people with no experience at all.
Naturally it is important too that you share our company values - We Include; We Deliver; We Aspire; We Respect; We Enable, which are at the heart of everything we do and ensure that we deliver high quality, consistent care and support. People's values are important to use, so we look for people with:
- A problem solver
- Resilience
- Patience
- Empathy, compassion and sensitivity to others
- A strong work ethic
- Reliability
- Honesty
- Determination
