Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Driver to join our cleaning team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for picking up & dropping off materials, safely transferring cleaners to job sites, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining the condition of the vehicle. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for driving and a strong sense of responsibility. Candidates should possess good communication skills and be comfortable working independently while adhering to safety standards.
Duties
- Safely operate company vehicles, including lorries and vans, to deliver goods to various locations
- Plan delivery routes efficiently to meet deadlines and optimise fuel consumption
- Load and unload goods carefully, ensuring items are secured during transit
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members regarding delivery schedules or issues
- Follow all traffic laws and company policies to ensure safety at all times
Experience
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role, preferably with delivery driver experience
- Mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshoot common issues
- Valid driving licence suitable for the type of vehicle operated, including <PERSON> driver qualifications if applicable
- Experience with commercial driving and understanding of road safety regulations
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, for clear interaction with clients and team members
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided where necessary
