The Role
We are now seeking an experienced and motivated Junior Structural Engineer to join our Structural Engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience while supporting the continued development of the department.
As Junior Structural Engineer, you will report directly to the Principal Structural Engineer and work closely with the Architectural team to support the delivery of technical advice, reports and drawings across a wide range of domestic and commercial projects. This role is ideal for someone with an engineering qualification and experience in structural engineering, civil engineering, construction, or a related technical environment.
What You'll Be Doing
- Provide technical support to internal teams and clients, reporting directly to the Principal Structural Engineer
- Read, interpret and produce engineering drawings, specifications, and construction details
- Assist with technical calculations and reporting
- Support the preparation and amendment of CAD drawings and technical documentation
- Liaise with design teams to support customer requirements
- Help resolve technical issues and respond to enquiries professionally and efficiently
- Maintain accurate technical records and documentation
- Contribute to continuous improvement within the Structural Engineering department
We Are Looking for Someone Who:
· Has an HNC/HND in Engineering, Construction, Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering, or equivalent relevant experience
· Has experience with CAD software, such as AutoCAD or similar
· Has a strong ability to read and interpret engineering and construction drawings
- Has some experience in a structural, civil, construction, or manufacturing technical environment is preferred
- Is Enthusiastic and proactive in their approach to learning
- Has a very strong attention to detail and a problem‑solving mindset
- Has the ability to work independently and as part of a part of a team
- Can be customer‑focused and professional
