Job Summary;
The Warehouse Line Technician is responsible for ensuring that all plant, equipment, and building infrastructure are maintained in good working order. This includes supporting continuous cutting capability of sheet materials within Warehouse Processing, operations using saws and associated equipment, while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities;
· Observe and comply with all standard operating procedures (SOPs), health & safety (H&S) regulations, and safe systems of work
· Maintain all saws, equipment, and building infrastructure as required
· Demonstrate strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills to minimise downtime
· Operate in line with asset care regime rules and procedures
· Update and maintain the WP maintenance database
· Complete routine safety checks and inspections
· Provide FLT (Forklift Truck) support for production when required
· Prepare sheet materials for processing on infeed systems when required
· Operate saws and associated machinery safely and efficiently when required
· Place pallets on production lines as required
· Inspect and pack sheets to agreed quality standards when required
· Move scrap and trimmings to approved disposal or storage areas within WP when required
· Maintain high standards of housekeeping across the work area
· Report any incidents, equipment faults, or damage to materials promptly
· Comply with any other reasonable requests from management

Requirements
- Previous experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment
- Experience operating saws, scheduling saws, and other machinery
- Competence in using hand and power tools
- Valid FLT (Forklift Truck) licence
- Strong problem-solving and fault-finding skills
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
Desirable:
- PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) experience
- Mechanical skills, including experience with hydraulics and pneumatics
Additional Information
- Working Hours: 4 days on, 4 days off, 12 hour shift pattern
Pay: £40,000.00-£42,000.00 per year
