Responsibilities
- Assist staff in delivering engaging, developmentally appropriate activities tailored to individual needs.
- Support children with SEN by implementing personalized learning strategies and behavioural support plans.
- Foster a safe, inclusive environment that encourages social interaction, communication, and emotional growth among children.
- Provide one-on-one support to a pre school child with special educational needs, ensuring they feel valued and supported throughout their day.
- Communicate effectively with children, colleagues, and parents to promote understanding and collaboration on each child's progress.
- Help maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that adheres to health and safety standards.
- Observe and document children's development, sharing insights with the team to inform ongoing support plans.
Experience
- Up to 1 years experience working 1:1 supporting a child with additional needs
- Prior experience working with children in an educational or care setting is essential.
- Experience working with individuals with autism or other disabilities is highly desirable.
- Background in childcare or special education enhances your ability to adapt activities for diverse learners.
- Knowledge of NI pre school curriculum ensures effective support for our learners.
- Strong communication skills are crucial for collaborating with team members and engaging positively with children and families.
