Role Overview
We are looking for a hard-working Factory Operative to join our busy production team in Auchinleck. This is a brilliant opportunity to gain specialist skills within the manufacturing and construction supply sector. We will fully train you to safely operate our industrial shot blasting and powder coating machinery.
This role offers an excellent 4-day working week (Monday to Thursday), perfect for a reliable individual who wants to learn a skilled trade and enjoy a three-day weekend.
Key Duties
- Learn to safely set up and run industrial shot blasting machinery.
- Train in preparing metal fabrication work and applying high-quality powder coatings.
- Mask, hang, and unload heavy structural metal components from production tracks.
- Quality check finished components to ensure compliance with construction industry standards.
- Keep your fabrication and finishing areas clean, tidy, and hazard-free.
- Follow all company health and safety rules at all times.
What We Need From You
- Past experience in a factory, metal workshop, construction site, or manual handling environment.
- High reliability, excellent punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
- Physical fitness to handle heavy metal parts and stand for long periods.
- A strong willingness to learn technical finishing skills and machinery operation.
- Flexibility to switch to a 5-day week or different shift patterns if production deadlines require it.
