We are looking for friendly, passionate and creative cocktail bartenders to join us for bar shift work for events at The Mowbray and Victoria, both based in Kelham Island/Neepsend.
About Us
We are a small, independently owned family business offering the chance to be a part of a busy, passionate and creative team. Our events span from private dining to weddings and sell out supper clubs hosted in two restored historic buildings in Neepsend and Kelham Island, both with multiple, high-volume, bespoke cocktail bars. We stock premium products, and shake, stir and pour an ambitious cocktail, champagne, wine and beer offering for weddings, large parties, dining events, and more! We work closely with interesting suppliers, and have a focus on creativity, seasonality and quality when designing and serving our drinks menus.
About You
We're looking for social, creative individuals with experience behind the bar who are looking to get busy and join a great team - you must be confident in talking about brands, drinks and cocktails and able to have good rapport with guests.
The Job
This is the perfect role for anyone who has a great passion for cocktails and hospitality with a clear understanding and enjoyment of this industry. We proudly curate an ambitious and bespoke menu of specialty barista coffee, interesting wines, unique cocktails, premium spirits and local and international beers, with excellent no and low options. We champion seasonality, sustainability, and have very high standards with preparing and producing a lot of our ingredients in house ourselves. We are always keen for like-minded individuals to help deliver, and inform how we shape our offering across our soon to be three, venues.

You must be hard working and well versed in...
Set up / Break down of a bar / good knowledge of spirits and drinks and proven experience of making cocktails to a high standard
You must have good product knowledge and be excited to talk to customers about this

You must be available in the evenings and at the weekends for lunch or evening service for Private Dining, Events and Weddings.

This is a shift based, freelance role.
We offer progression to those wanting to develop with us, to Team Leader, Head Bartender and Bar/Event Management roles. You'll have the opportunity to work flexibly across our multiple sites, delivering an excellent menu as part of a multi-disciplinary, collaborative team.
