Role Overview
The Packer plays a key role in ensuring all food items, equipment, and service components are accurately packed, sealed, labelled, and prepared for loading onto aircraft. This position supports the smooth flow of catering operations by following strict specifications, hygiene standards, and airline requirements. It is a fast‑paced, hands‑on role that requires attention to detail, teamwork, and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Pack food items (meals, snacks, beverages) according to airline menus, portion guides, and production sheets.
- Assemble meal trays and service sets, ensuring all components are included and correctly positioned.
- Follow packing specifications for each airline, cabin class, and flight type.
- Label and seal items accurately, including allergen information, dates, and flight numbers.
- Prepare and pack trolleys, drawers, and containers for dispatch to aircraft.
- Check product quality before packing, reporting any issues immediately.
- Maintain hygiene and cleanliness across all packing stations and equipment.
- Work closely with chefs, searchers, and dispatch teams to ensure timely completion of orders.
- Comply with food safety, security, and aviation regulations at all times.
Candidate Requirements
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written instructions.
- Good communication skills and a positive, team‑focused attitude.
- Basic English reading and writing skills.
- Physically able to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Previous experience in packing, catering, food production, or warehouse work is desirable but not essential.

Pay: £12.71 per hour
