Sunny Days is on the lookout for a fun, passionate, and enthusiastic individual to join our nursery team as an apprentice, working towards a Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years Practitioner qualification!
As a Nursery Apprentice, you'll have the chance to work closely with our experienced practitioners to:
- Support the care, learning, and development of children aged 0-5 years
- Create engaging and age-appropriate activities that spark joy and curiosity
- Maintain our safe, clean, and welcoming environment
- Observe and record children's progress with the support of your mentor
- Develop positive relationships with children, parents, and fellow team members.
**Apprenticeship Details**
-You'll complete your apprenticeship with our training partner, Aspiration Training, which lasts between 12-15 months whilst working at the nursery
- We offer a 32-hour work week (spread over 4 days) along with 1 paid day off for your 'Off the Job' training and related coursework
- The apprenticeship includes online training sessions, regular check-ins with your mentor, coursework submissions, and in-person observations.

We're a cosy, 45-place nursery located on Chester Green in Derby. Established in 2015, we proudly hold a 'Good' rating from OFSTED.
Our nursery is divided into three units:
Babies-Under 2 years (15-place unit)
Toddlers-2-3 years (14-place unit)
Preschool- 3-5 years (16-place unit)
Our little ones enjoy a sensory room full of fun, interactive equipment and a beautiful garden where they can play, run, and climb!
Our ideal candidate will:
- Have a warm heart and a genuine love for children
- Communicate well and be ready to share endless cuddles
- Enjoy having fun, getting messy, and working as part of a team
-GCSE'S in Maths and English or be willing to undertake these as part of the apprentiship
-A willingless to learn and dedication to complete the required training.
