We are looking for a driven, organised and commercially minded Business Development Executive to help develop new accounts, open new markets and create commercial opportunities across key growth sectors for Lithe Audio and Retrotouch.
This role would suit someone with at least three years’ sales or business-development experience who is confident building relationships, identifying opportunities and supporting customer projects.
Working closely with the Sales Director, you will develop new business across trade, development and specification channels. Target sectors include housing developers, M&E consultants, architects, interior designers, wholesalers, retailers and the kitchen, bedroom and bathroom sector.
Key responsibilities
- Develop new accounts and markets across our target sectors.
- Identify and approach new commercial prospects.
- Manage opportunities from initial outreach through to qualified meetings, follow-ups and agreed next steps.
- Arrange high-quality meetings for the Sales Director and senior management.
- Research target companies, decision-makers and relevant contacts.
- Make outbound calls, send introductory emails and follow up professionally and consistently.
- Build and maintain an organised new-business pipeline.
- Keep accurate records of conversations, opportunities and next steps.
- Support the Sales Director with customer projects and commercial progression.
- Build long-term relationships across trade, development and specification channels.
- Help identify worthwhile exhibitions, trade shows and industry events.
- Attend selected UK meetings, exhibitions and events when required.
- Work with the sales and marketing teams on campaigns, product launches and customer outreach.
- Develop strong knowledge of our products, markets and target customers.
- Provide regular updates on activity, progress and market feedback.
Essential experience and capabilities
- At least three years’ sales or business-development experience.
- Experience developing new accounts, markets or commercial opportunities.
- Strong telephone, email and face-to-face communication skills.
- Confidence approaching new prospects and starting commercial conversations.
- Strong organisation and consistent follow-up.
- Commercial awareness and the ability to take ownership of opportunities.
- Ability to work effectively with the Sales Director and wider team.
- Ability to work from our office on a full-time basis.
- Full UK driving licence and ability to travel to meetings and exhibitions.
- Strong attention to detail and accurate CRM or sales-record management.
Desirable experience
- Experience in one or more of the following would be advantageous:
- Housing development, architecture, specification or M&E consultancy
- Electrical products, smart-home technology, audio-visual products, interiors or lighting
- Wholesale, retail or kitchen, bedroom and bathroom markets
- Trade exhibitions and industry networking events
- CRM systems and structured sales pipelines
- Supporting customer projects from enquiry through to delivery

Pay: £30,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
