Job Summary

Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the kitchen team, including chefs and kitchen assistants, to ensure smooth daily operations
- Develop innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends while maintaining consistency and quality
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to uphold high standards of taste and visual appeal
- Manage food production processes, including ordering supplies, inventory control, and waste minimisation
- Enforce strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards across the kitchen
- Train and mentor staff to enhance their skills, promote teamwork, and maintain a motivated workforce
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery and guest satisfaction
- Monitor kitchen performance metrics and implement improvements as necessary
- Maintain organised kitchen workflows to optimise efficiency during busy service periods
Experience
- Proven supervisory experience within a professional kitchen environment, ideally in a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Extensive culinary experience with a strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and presentation skills
- Demonstrable leadership abilities with experience managing a diverse team of kitchen staff
- Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in hygiene management
- Experience in menu development and food production planning
- Familiarity with restaurant operations, including serving processes and customer service principles
- Previous experience working in a fast-paced environment with excellent organisational skills
