Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Pipe Fitter / Plumber to join our team. This role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining piping systems across various commercial and industrial sites. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude, experience with plumbing and welding, and the ability to work efficiently in a physically demanding environment. Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain piping systems in accordance with technical specifications and safety standards.
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other specialised tools to complete tasks accurately.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to ensure precise installation and repairs.
- Perform cutting, threading, fitting, and assembly of pipes made from various materials such as metal or plastic.
- Conduct inspections of existing systems to identify faults or potential issues.
- Assist with the assembly of related mechanical components as required.
- Ensure all work areas are kept clean and organised in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Heavy lifting of pipes or equipment may be required; utilise proper techniques to prevent injury.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used on each project site.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Pipe Fitter or Plumber within commercial or industrial environments.
- Proficiency in welding techniques relevant to piping systems.
- Competence with hand tools, power tools, and specialised plumbing equipment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge coupled with basic maths skills for measurements and calculations.
- Familiarity with carpentry principles useful for supporting pipe installation tasks.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during installation or repair work.
- Valid driving licence for commercial driving duties if required for site access or material transport.
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure quality workmanship.
- Ability to read technical drawings and schematics accurately.
Candidates should be physically fit, safety-conscious, and able to work both independently and as part of a team in demanding environments. Experience with assembly processes is advantageous but not essential for all roles within this position.
Pay: £25.00 per hour
