Summary
We are seeking compassionate Healthcare Assistants to join a brand new team for our client based in Cramlington in her own home.
The post is to support a wonderful and vibrant young lady who has autism and a learning disability.
This lovely young woman is fully able, wants to enjoy life and really wants to meet people. She loves music, dancing and shopping along with many other activities.
The client has her own car and staff will be expected to drive this.
Hours
We have a part time sleeping night position available x2 shifts per week (24hr contract).
Hours are 20.00-0800 broken down as follows:
- 20.00-22.00 you will be awake supporting client to settle for bed.
- 22.00-06.00 you will be asleep at the clients house to be available if she needs anything.
- 06.00-08.00 you will be awake to assist client to get ready for the day and assist with breakfast if she requires any help.
Waking hours are paid at £13.35 per hour. Sleeping part of the shift (22.00-06.00) is paid at a fixed rate of £91.52.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and mobility.
- Support the development and implementation of individual care plans.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Ensure a safe and clean environment for all clients.
- Drive clients vehicle
- Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure client well-being.
- Social and home activities to help the client live her best life
- Qualifications
- Proven experience in healthcare or caring roles in the UK
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Valid driving license is essential
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Compassionate attitude with strong interpersonal skills.
- Basic IT skills for documentation purposes. (digital care plans will be implemented in due course
- Enhanced DBS registered on the update service would be desirable but not essential.
