Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and physically capable Ground Worker/Labourer to join our team. The successful candidate will assist with various site preparation, maintenance, and construction tasks, ensuring the smooth progression of projects. Duties
- Assisting with site clearance, including removing debris and organising materials
- Digging trenches, holes, and foundations using manual tools or machinery under supervision
- Assisting with the loading and unloading of materials and equipment
- Supporting skilled tradespeople with their tasks as required
- Maintaining a clean and safe work environment by adhering to health and safety regulations
- Assisting with the setting up of scaffolding, barriers, and signage on site
- Carrying out general labouring duties such as mixing concrete or assisting with ground levelling
Experience
- Previous experience in construction or manual labour roles is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in all weather conditions
- Good organisational skills and attention to safety procedures are essential
- Basic understanding of health and safety standards within construction environments is desirable
- A valid UK driving licence is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn driving machinery is a plus
