The role of a key account manager is to work closely with customers to ensure long term success and develop positive relationships. You are required to understand customer needs and collaborate with internal teams to ensure the delivery of service that meets and exceeds customer expectations.
Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service by thoroughly comprehending customer requirements.
- Addressing customer concerns/issues and aiding in the resolution of customer non-conformities. Proactively managing the return of non-conforming goods and working in liaison with quality to respond to non-conformance paperwork.
- Anticipating changes within an account whilst identifying and informing management of any growth opportunities.
- Efficiently handling customer enquiries always ensuring a prompt response and recognising you are a single point of contact for customers.
- Prepare and reply (request for quote) RFQ’s in a timely manner ensuring an accurate response.
- Actively communicate delays or changes to schedules firstly prioritising the customer needs.
- Regularly monitor and review customer accounts, i.e. performance data
- Monitoring and achieving KPI targets, actively providing and implementing resolutions when targets are not met.
- Attend custom meetings (i.e. monthly/weekly reviews and/or quality reviews) and take accountability for relevant meeting outcomes.
- Processing orders and managing any change during the commercial lifecycle including; managing engineering, release to production, inventory and stock agreements, purchasing, production queries, request change, deviation or concession request and delivery scheduling.
- Actively monitor internal progress and communicate progress to customer/s where appropriate.
- Analyse feedback from key accounts to enhance customer processes and implement changes to guarantee an outstanding customer experience.
- Proficient product knowledge relating to customer/s account.
