DPS Group are seeking to recruit a Service Co-Ordinator in Bangor.
The Service Co-Ordinator plays a key role in the efficient operation of the Service Department here at DPS, acting as the point of contact between customers, engineers, and internal teams. This role is responsible for coordinating service activities, managing schedules, and ensuring works are planned and delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
Role and Responsibilities
Reporting to the Service Manager and assisting in the day-to-day operations
Support in the co-ordinating & planning of weekly schedules for Service Engineers
Purchasing and acquisition of BOQ items for jobs including labour, parts, and materials
Ensuring that service is delivered in accordance with our Standard Operating Procedures and in line with our IFS Enterprise Resource Planning system
Communicating with our internal warehouse to ensure correct parts are assigned to jobs
Quality checking documentation such as tenders, reports, and schedules
Assisting with maintaining and updating issue logs, registers, and cost trackers
Generating and updating quotations & invoices
Ensuring that all service telephone calls are answered professionally, and all messages are logged and forwarded to the Service Manager
Assisting H&S Manager with the HSQE documents
To perform the job in accordance with the company's policies and procedures
To perform any other reasonable duties which may be required by management from time to time
Skills/Qualifications
Previous experience working in a co-ordination role or related field is desirable
Computer literate - must be proficient in MS office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Previous experience of IFS software preferred but not essential (training will be provided)
Grade C or above in English and Maths at GCSE Level (Higher and Further education desirable)
Excellent English verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively
Attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment
Strong collaborative skills with an ability to work effectively in a team
Mechanical/ Electrical knowledge or experience desirable
