Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Warehouse Operative to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for various warehouse tasks including materials handling, stock management, and order fulfilment. Prior warehouse experience is preferred, along with a strong work ethic and attention to detail. Responsibilities
- Handling materials efficiently using appropriate techniques and equipment
- Managing stock levels through accurate picking, packing, and inventory control
- Loading and unloading goods from lorries and containers
- Utilising warehouse management systems to track inventory movements and update records
- Ensuring the correct shipping and receiving procedures are followed
- Performing quality control checks to maintain high standards of accuracy and safety
- Stocking shelves and organising storage areas for optimal accessibility
- Assisting with mechanical maintenance or troubleshooting equipment when necessary
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment in compliance with health and safety regulations
Experience
- Previous experience in a warehouse environment is highly desirable
- Familiarity with materials handling techniques and warehouse management systems (WMS)
- Experience operating forklifts or other industrial machinery (certification preferred)
- Knowledge of shipping & receiving processes and stock control procedures
- Mechanical knowledge or experience with equipment maintenance is a plus
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently over extended periods
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in stock management tasks
