As a bank member of staff, you will provide flexible cover for planned and unplanned shifts, helping ensure our kitchen continues to run safely and effectively. Shifts will usually be 12-hour long days, and availability for weekends and bank holidays is desirable.
What You’ll Do
Prepare and cook fresh, balanced meals for patients, staff, and visitors.
Cater to a variety of dietary needs, including allergies, cultural requirements, and therapeutic diets.
Ensure the highest standards of hygiene, food safety, and presentation.
Support menu preparation, stock control, and the smooth running of the kitchen.
Work collaboratively with a small, friendly team.
What We’re Looking For
Proven experience as a chef in a professional kitchen.
Healthcare, care home, or hospitality experience preferred.
Understanding of nutrition, allergens, food hygiene, and special diets.
A calm, caring, patient-centred approach.
Reliability, flexibility, and good time management.
Ability to work independently during long shifts while remaining part of a wider team.
