Woodlands Primary School has an exciting opportunity for a committed and enthusiastic Early Years Teaching Assistant to join our existing team on a 32.5 hours per week (Term Time Only) basis. This is a fixed term position until 31st August 2027.
We are looking for someone who:

Holds GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above.
Holds a relevant Level 3 Teaching Assistant or Early Years Qualification.
Has experience working with children aged 3 to 5 in an early years or nursery setting, as well as delivering small group and one-to-one interventions.
Possesses a strong understanding of the EYFS Framework, Statutory Guidance, and safeguarding/child protection measures.
Is a proactive, flexible team player with a warm, caring, and positive attitude.
As an Early Years Teaching Assistant, you will play a key part in supporting children's learning, development, and wellbeing, primarily within our Nursery & Reception Classes. Other responsibilities will include:
Supporting pupils' learning through group and individual activities, reinforcing key concepts in early literacy and numeracy.
Adapting support to meet individual needs, including children with SEND or EHCPs.
Assisting in the planning, delivery, and assessment of targeted intervention programmes.
Building positive, respectful relationships with pupils to support their emotional and social development, including attending to personal needs like hygiene, health care, and first aid.
Promoting and safeguarding the welfare of all children in line with school policies.
