Overview
Term time only role - Zero Hours with Mileage paid at 45p per mile, must hold a full driving licence and have transport.
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a relief support. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in food preparation and cooking, who thrives in a fast-paced kitchen environment. You will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of service, food quality and safety while contributing to an enjoyable dining experience for our guests.
Duties
- assist in the cooking a variety of meals according to established recipes and standards support the catering manager.
- Assist in meal preparation, including chopping, slicing, and marinating ingredients.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
- Support kitchen staff to ensure efficient service during break and lunch times
- Supporting the cleaning of the environments in line with company procedure.
Skills
- Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
- Previous experience in schools is advantageous, particularly in high-volume settings.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also demonstrating initiative when required.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during service periods.
