Our newly formed Trade Supplies business in Ellon is thriving and we're looking to recruit a Trade Counter Assistant to join the team.
Duties
- Our Trade Counter Assistants are hands-on, offer a warm welcome to customers and work closely with the Branch Manager and the Internal Sales team in day-to-day branch operations.
- You will be responsible for trade counter sales to achieve sales targets, confidently communicating product knowledge to customers.
- Provide exceptional customer service and support to new and existing customers.
- Compliance with Health and Safety, company policies and procedures.
- You may on occasions, be required to use the company vehicle to drop off orders to customer sites.
- Maintaining branch standards - Keep the shop and trade counter area stock topped up with the latest products and point of sale.
Entry Requirements
- Passion and energy to deliver exceptional customer service and achieve business targets
- A hands-on customer focused approach, confident and happy to serve customers and proactively engage with potential future customers
- A commercial approach to drive sales and maximise margins, whilst ensuring our customers always walk away happy
- Good organisational skills, with ability to prioritise and use own initiative
- Experience within a similar role ideally in an Ironmongery, builders, timber or plumbing merchant setting would be advantageous.
- Car driving licence.
Full time position, hours of work are Monday to Friday 7am -5pm and every second Saturday 7am-12:30pm.
