Responsibilities
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks to support the culinary team, including washing, peeling, chopping, and organizing ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas by washing dishes, utensils, pots, and pans promptly and efficiently
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is properly cleaned and stored after use to uphold health and safety standards
- Support the setup and breakdown of service stations before and after meal periods
- Help with stock rotation, inventory checks, and restocking supplies as needed to keep the kitchen well-organized
- Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to maintain a hygienic working environment
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth service flow during busy periods while providing excellent hospitality support
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred but not essential; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key
- Familiarity with food preparation techniques or culinary experience is advantageous
- Experience working in hotel kitchens or similar settings will be highly valued
- Knowledge of health and safety standards within food service environments is beneficial
