Job Overview:
We are looking for an experienced and reliable Working Supervisor to oversee cleaning operations while actively working alongside the cleaning team. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in commercial or industrial cleaning, excellent leadership skills, and a professional, hands-on approach. Communication, initiative, and proficiency with basic computer tools are essential to this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and support cleaning staff across designated sites or areas.
- Perform cleaning duties to a high standard while setting a positive example for others.
- Ensure all scheduled tasks are completed on time and meet company and client standards.
- Act as a key contact for clients, responding professionally to feedback and ensuring satisfaction.
- Communicate clearly with staff, management, and clients to maintain smooth day-to-day operations.
- Maintain accurate records, complete shift reports, and manage schedules using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as needed.
- Monitor stock levels of cleaning supplies and request replenishment when required.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety policies and COSHH regulations.
- Support training and onboarding of new cleaning staff.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a supervisory role within the cleaning industry is essential.
- Good working knowledge of commercial cleaning methods, materials, and equipment.
- Confident using a laptop and basic Microsoft Office programs: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- A proactive, can-do attitude and openness to new ways of working.
- Reliable, punctual, and professional at all times.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Having a valid driver’s license is not required, but it would be beneficial.
Desirable:
- Experience dealing directly with commercial clients.
- Basic understanding of scheduling or task management software.
