We have an exciting opportunity for an experience senior Streetworks coordinator to join our busy Street Works team.
You will lead the coordination and compliance team, working closely with the senior Street Works inspector and the Street Works Manager to keep the City of York moving and the highway users safe.
You will need to demonstrate excellent working knowledge of relevant legislation, including New Roads & Street Works Act, Traffic Management Act and Highways Act, in particular how these control and impact the undertaking of activities on the highway. Coordinate all street and road works within the highway to minimise the impact on traffic and other highway users.
You will have extensive experience of working in a Network Management environment, to tight deadlines, and in close collaboration with a range of teams and stakeholders.

Your contractual location will be the designated council office for your team.
As this role is public facing, applicants will need to demonstrate, at interview, their competency to converse and provide advice and guidance to members of the public, in spoken English to CEFR level C1: Can express themselves fluently and spontaneously, almost effortlessly.
