Job Overview:
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Youth Mentors to join our team. As a Youth Mentor, you will play a crucial role in providing guidance, support, and education to young individuals. Your primary responsibility will be to mentor and assist young people in various aspects of their lives, including academic, personal development, and social skills.
Duties:
- Develop mentoring plans for each young person, lead by the young person
- Provide educational support and encouragement
- Foster positive relationships with young people and serve as a role model
- Conduct regular check-ins and meetings with your mentee to monitor progress
- Assist with the development of life skills, such as goal-setting and decision-making
- Participate in youth group activities and workshops
- Maintain accurate records of mentoring sessions and progress
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children or youth useful but not essential
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to build trust with young people
- Ability to adapt to different learning styles and individual needs
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
