The Role
Working across Hampshire, you'll be part of our Clearance team, carrying out property clearances and environmental works within occupied and void social housing properties.
You'll remove unwanted household items, furniture and waste, prepare properties ready for refurbishment and ensure all works are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
You'll work alongside a supportive team while representing DCL professionally on every job.
What You'll Be Doing
- Carrying out full property clearances
- Removing furniture, household items and general waste
- Clearing lofts, garages, sheds and external storage areas
- Loading and unloading company vehicles safely
- Segregating waste for recycling and disposal
- Ensuring waste is disposed of in accordance with company procedures
- Working safely within occupied and void properties
- Maintaining company vehicles, tools and equipment
- Providing excellent customer service when working around residents
- Completing work safely, efficiently and to a high standard
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who enjoys physical work, takes pride in delivering quality results and enjoys working as part of a team.
You'll ideally have:
- Previous experience in property clearances, waste removal, removals, environmental services or property maintenance
- A strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable and punctual approach
- Good awareness of health and safety
- Ability to carry out physically demanding work
- Full, clean UK Driving Licence
Experience in any of the following would be advantageous:
- Social Housing
- Property Maintenance
- Environmental Services
- Waste Management
- House Removals
- Manual Handling
- Asbestos Awareness
- Towing (if applicable)
However, we're happy to provide training for the right person with the right attitude.
