Office base: Wigan, WN3 5BA – hybrid working available after a period of onboarding, with a minimum of 2–3 days per week in the office (or as agreed with the Department Manager)
Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm

The Role
We are looking for two Commercial Property Solicitors to join our established and highly regarded Commercial Property team. We are seeking experienced solicitors with a minimum of 3 years' PQE in Commercial Property law.
Working alongside experienced Partners and Solicitors, you will advise a diverse client base on a wide variety of commercial property matters. The team undertakes a broad range of work, including social housing transactions, complex development projects, acquisitions and disposals, business leases, lease renewals, and general transactional commercial property work.
You will manage your own caseload while also supporting senior colleagues on more complex matters, providing an excellent opportunity to further develop your technical expertise and commercial awareness within a supportive and collaborative environment.

What You'll Be Doing
- Managing a varied commercial property caseload including:
- Acquisitions and disposals of commercial property
- Commercial landlord and tenant matters
- Business leases and lease renewals
- Social housing transactions
- Development and regeneration projects
- General commercial property transactional work
- Providing clear, practical and commercially focused advice to clients
- Drafting and negotiating contracts, leases, transfers, licences and associated property documentation
- Supporting senior fee earners on complex transactions and development matters
- Managing transactions from instruction through to completion
- Liaising with clients, agents, lenders and other professional advisers
- Undertaking appropriate risk assessments and ensuring compliance with SRA requirements and internal procedures
- Maintaining accurate time recording and effective management of work in progress
- Managing financial aspects of files, including disbursements and debt recovery where appropriate
- Contributing to business development activities and identifying cross-referral opportunities
- Maintaining high standards of client care and service delivery
- Keeping training and CPD records up to date

Essential:
You will need:
- To be a qualified Solicitor with a current practising certificate
- A minimum of 3 year's PQE in Commercial Property
- Experience managing your own commercial property caseload
- Strong drafting, negotiation and communication skills
- Good technical knowledge of commercial property transactions
- Excellent client care skills
- Confidence using IT systems and willingness to learn new technologies
- A flexible and proactive approach to work
Desirable:
It would be beneficial, though not essential, if you also have:
- Experience in social housing transactions
- Experience dealing with complex development projects
- An existing professional network or following
- Experience using case management systems
- Business development experience
