Full Time – 37.5 HOURS - 40 hours per week per hour
£13.36 per hour
7:30am - 4:30pm / 8:30am - 5:30pm
Based in Bootle, Liverpool we have an exciting opportunity for a qualified room leader to join our busy day nursery. The Room Leader will take responsibility for the day to day operation of your allocated room, being fully accountable for the children and staff team, and working proactively alongside the management team to ensure the smooth running of the day to day nursery.
Requirements of the Room Leader
Taking responsibility for the day to day operation of your allocated room, being fully accountable for the children and staff team, and working proactively alongside the management team to ensure the smooth running of the day to day nursery.
· Support for Deputy and management incase of absence
· Key holder of the setting
· Attend management strategy meetings to drive the nursery forward
· Ensuring all medical information relating to the children is correct and that colleagues are aware of any special dietary requirements and medication, (and how to administer it correctly), and that everything, including accidents, are recorded accurately.
- First point of contact for parents and staff queries.
- Support new starters induction and colleagues studying NVQ qualification
- Ensuring that children's learning and development is celebrated and recorded in their Learning Journeys.
- Using your knowledge and understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage & child development to plan and implement play-based, interest led, learning activities on a daily basis.
- Establishing strong professional relationships with the children and their parents.

- Communicate with colleagues, parents/carers to meet the individual needs of the children
- Make accurate and effect assessments of the children during the stages of development
- Safeguard and promote the health, safety and welfare of all children
- Provide quality learning environments that will engage and stimulate a child's curiosity.
- Plan and provide effective care and teaching to support a every child's learning and development.
