Meet Our Client
We are seeking experienced and compassionate Healthcare Assistants to join a dedicated 2:1 care team, supporting a teenage boy with complex care needs in his family home.
He requires full support with all aspects of daily living, as he is non-verbal and non-mobile. Your role will involve delivering both clinical and personal care, ensuring his safety, comfort, and wellbeing at all times.
Beyond care, this role is about building a meaningful connection and supporting him to enjoy the things he loves, including:
- Sensory play and musical toys
- Messy play activities
- Watching Disney films (especially The Lion King and Toy Story)
- Trips to the cinema and bowling (when he feels well)
- Supporting his love for Wolves
- Spending time around animals
You’ll also be working in a family home with two friendly dogs, so being comfortable around pets is important.

Key Responsibilities
- Providing high-quality personal care with dignity and respect
- Supporting complex clinical needs, including:
- Seizure management and administration of rescue medication
- PEG feeding
- Suctioning and respiratory care
- Assisting with moving and handling
- Monitoring and responding to changes in condition
- Supporting engagement in meaningful activities
- Working collaboratively with family members and professionals
What You'll Need

A minimum of 3 months’ hands-on care experience, including:
- Respiratory care and oxygen support
- Epilepsy management and administration of rescue medication
- Experience supporting children with complex care needs
- Confidence in medication administration, personal care, and moving & handling
- Clear and effective communication skills
