Air Conditioning Installation Engineer
Location: UK – Nationwide
Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Salary: Competitive, based on experience
Hours: Monday–Friday, 45 hours per week + overtime - Start - Onsite for the first job by 8am.
Overtime: Weekdays & Saturdays 1.5x | Sundays & Bank Holidays 2x
The Role
We are seeking an experienced Air Conditioning Installation Engineer to join our mobile engineering team. You will be responsible for installing, commissioning, maintaining and optimising air conditioning systems across commercial and industrial sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, commission and test air conditioning systems and associated components.
- Install refrigerant pipework, electrical components and controls.
- Carry out preventative maintenance, repairs and fault finding.
- Diagnose electrical faults, refrigerant leaks and component failures.
- Optimise system performance, efficiency and reliability.
- Provide technical advice and professional customer service.
- Work closely with clients, contractors, project managers and suppliers.
- Maintain high standards of health, safety and workmanship.
- Travel nationwide, with occasional overnight stays.
Required Experience
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar AC installation role.
- Strong HVAC, mechanical and electrical knowledge.
- Experience with installation, commissioning and fault finding.
- Good understanding of electrical controls and wiring.
- Relevant C&G/NVQ Air Conditioning & Refrigeration qualification.
- F-Gas 2079 certification.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Professional, reliable and customer-focused approach.
Desirable
- Commercial and industrial experience.
- Additional electrical/BMS experience.
- Manufacturer training and certifications.
