Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Joiner to join our Workshop. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bench joinery, with experience in fabrication, assembly, and the use of various hand and power tools. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work on diverse projects such as Timber Windows and Doors, Staircases and Cabinetry, Bespoke Joinery and Specialist Machining . The successful applicant will be responsible for creating high-quality timber structures and fittings, ensuring precision and safety at all times.
Duties
- Fabricate and assemble timber components according to technical drawings and specifications
- Use hand tools, power tools, and specialised joinery equipment to cut, shape, and install materials
- Construct frameworks for roofing, flooring, walls, and other structural elements
- Perform heavy lifting of materials safely to facilitate efficient workflow
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations
- Collaborate with other members of the team to complete projects on time and to high standards
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment throughout each project phase
Experience
- Skilled in using hand tools such as chisels, saws, hammers, as well as power tools including drills and saws.
- Knowledge of specialist joinery machines such as bandsaws, radial arm saws, thicknesser, fore siders, spindle moulders and panel saws.
- Ability to undertake heavy lifting safely and efficiently during various stages of our joinery projects.
- Prior experience working within a joinery workshop is essential.
- Relevant qualifications or apprenticeships in carpentry or joinery will be advantageous.
