We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to join our early childhood education team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children, supporting their developmental needs through engaging activities and personalised care. Responsibilities
- Detailed knowledge of the EYFS.
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities that promote learning, development, and socialisation among children.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in your care at all times.
- Foster a warm, welcoming environment that encourages children’s curiosity and independence.
- Support children's emotional, social, and physical development through personalised care routines.
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress, behaviour, and any incidents in line with organisational policies.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and external professionals to support each child's individual needs.
- Manage daily operational tasks such as organising resources, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Demonstrate leadership by guiding junior staff or interns when required, fostering a team-oriented atmosphere.
- Drive organisational initiatives related to early childhood education programmes as needed.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with children within a nursery or early years setting.
- Strong knowledge of early childhood development principles and childcare best practices.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Experience with nursery management systems is advantageous.
