Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Multi Drop Delivery Driver and become the vital link between our company and satisfied customers! - Mainly Self Employed, Employed roles can be offered, option for part time and holiday cover also.
- Number of drops ranging from approximately 60 - 130 per day depending on route location
- Your own personal route will be provided (same route every day)
- Work is multi drop delivery for our customer DHL out of Gateshead cover area's all over the north east.
- Shift rotation is Monday to Friday with the occasional Saturday's, over peak which is the 6 weeks leading up to Christmas all drivers are expected to clear their routes on a Saturday (Only over PEAK).
Duties
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to deliver multiple packages to various locations within your assigned area
- Plan efficient routes to maximize delivery speed and accuracy while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations
- Handle packages with care, including heavy lifting and secure loading/unloading in warehouse environments
- Communicate clearly with dispatch teams, customers, and colleagues to confirm delivery details and resolve any issues promptly
- Maintain accurate delivery records, logs, and documentation for all completed routes
- Conduct vehicle inspections before and after shifts to ensure safety standards are met and report any maintenance needs
- Follow company policies on safety, security, and customer service to uphold our reputation for reliability
Skills
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar commercial driving role
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; <PERSON> driver certification preferred
- Strong driving skills with knowledge of traffic laws and safe driving practices
- Warehouse experience including heavy lifting and handling bulky or heavy packages
- Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members
- Ability to manage time effectively and adapt to changing schedules or route adjustments
- Physical stamina for prolonged periods of driving, loading, unloading, and heavy lifting tasks

Pay: £130.00-£250.00 per day
