The Role
As a Healthcare Assistant, you will provide high-quality care and support to clients in their homes and/or community settings. You will work closely with clients, families and other professionals to ensure that each person receives safe, respectful and personalised support.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing person-centred personal care and support
- Assisting with washing, bathing, dressing and grooming
- Supporting mobility, transfers and positioning
- Assisting with meals, hydration and nutrition
- Providing companionship and emotional support
- Supporting clients with daily living activities
- Assisting with shopping, appointments and community activities
- Providing medication reminders in line with the agreed care plan
- Maintaining accurate and confidential care records
- Reporting changes in a client’s health or wellbeing
- Following individual care plans, risk assessments and safeguarding procedures
- Promoting independence, choice, dignity and respect at all times
- Working professionally with families, carers and other healthcare professionals
- Following all 31Cares policies, procedures and health and safety requirements
About You

- Able to recognise and report concerns appropriately
- Flexible and willing to work a range of shifts where required
Essential Requirements
- Previous care or healthcare experience is desirable
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Right to work in the UK
- Willingness to complete relevant training
- Satisfactory references and background checks
- Commitment to safeguarding and person-centred care
Desirable
- Healthcare Assistant, Support Worker or Care Certificate experience
- Previous experience working with older adults or individuals with additional care needs
- Level 2/3 qualification in Health and Social Care
- First Aid training
- Medication or moving and handling training
