We are looking for an experienced, reliable, and people-focused Cleaning Manager to take full ownership of the changeover operation at two luxury holiday let properties near Blandford Forum, Dorset.
This is a hands-on role — you will be cleaning alongside your team — but the core of the job is management: scheduling, recruiting, training, quality control, and making sure every property is guest-ready to a luxury standard on time, every time.
THE ROLE
- Lead and carry out changeover cleans on Mondays and Fridays
- Be able to work at pace and with quality
- Schedule, coordinate, and manage a small cleaning team across two properties
- Recruit new cleaners when required — you build and manage your own team
- Conduct quality inspections before every guest check-in
- Manage linen turnaround, cleaning supplies, and property readiness
- Be the first point of contact for any day-of cleaning issues
- Provide a brief weekly update to the property owner
THE PROPERTIES
Downview Farm — 6 bedrooms, sleeps 15. Indoor heated pool, yoga studio, infrared saunas, hydrotherapy hot tub, private grounds.
Houghton Lodge — 5 bedrooms, sleeps 12. Hot tub, luxury interiors, countryside setting.
Both properties are part of the Merkabah Retreats brand and maintained to a luxury hospitality standard.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Essential:
- Proven cleaning experience in holiday lets, hotels, or hospitality
- Experience managing or supervising a small team
- Highly reliable with own transport to the DT11 area
- Confident recruiter and team communicator
- Smartphone and WhatsApp for day-to-day coordination
Desirable:
- Airbnb or holiday let changeover experience
- Previous self-employed or freelance work
- DBS checked or willing to obtain
