Salary – Permanent – Full time -Monday to Friday- 36 hours - £52,900 - £55,575 per annum
Holiday – 35 days per annum plus Bank Holidays ( pro rata )

Hertford Regional College is excited to welcome a passionate and dedicated Curriculum Area Manager to our growing team. The Curriculum Area Manager (CAM) will provide strategic and operational leadership for the Construction curriculum, ensuring the delivery of high-quality education and an outstanding learner experience. The postholder will lead and inspire curriculum teams to deliver excellent teaching, learning and assessment, drive continuous quality improvement, and secure high standards of learner achievement, progression, and attendance.

About the Role
- To develop, plan and manage the Construction area for the applicable Further Education, Higher Education, Full-Cost Recovery and Apprenticeship programmes across all College sites alongside the Director of Curriculum for STEM.
- To manage the day to day operations of the Construction area including the deployment of staff, timetabling and resource management. Ensuring that the Construction area works effectively with the English & Maths team to provide learners with aspirational skills that form part of the drive for a Destination Curriculum.
- To report, periodically, on quality assurance within the Construction area, undertaking regular learning walks, lesson observations and scrutiny of key data sets for attendance, retention, value added and pass rates.
- To ensure that outcomes for learners are high by agreeing key performance targets for attendance, retention, achievement and pass rates with the Director of Curriculum and ensuring that the Construction team deliver them.
- To manage, alongside the STEM Director of Curriculum the budget for the Construction area ensuring that is reviewed regularly and remains in balance through-out the year. This will include ensuring that income targets for the area are delivered and that resources are deployed effectively.

About You
You will bring:
✔ A minimum of a level 4 qualification such as a HND, degree, professional industry or teaching qualification
✔ Maths and English qualifications at minimum level 2
✔ Proven accomplished record in middle management, demonstrating improvements made in relation to the quality of provision and learner experience.
