Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Joiner to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in carpentry and related trades, with the ability to interpret technical drawings and work on diverse construction projects. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of commercial and residential projects, contributing to high-quality craftsmanship and durable structures. Duties
- Construct, install, and repair wooden frameworks, fixtures, and structures using hand tools and power tools.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, plans, and specifications to execute projects accurately.
- Measure, cut, assemble, and fit materials such as timber, MDF, plywood, and other building components.
- Collaborate with project managers and other tradespeople to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Conduct maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Assist with roofing tasks when required, including installing trusses or sheathing.
- Support masonry-related activities where necessary for structural integrity or finishing touches.
- Ensure all work areas are kept clean and organised throughout the project lifecycle.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Joiner or in a similar carpentry role within construction or renovation environments.
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as saws, chisels, hammers, as well as power tools including drills, sanders, and saws.
- Knowledge of welding techniques is advantageous but not essential.
- Mechanical knowledge related to building systems or machinery is beneficial.
- Familiarity with roofing techniques, masonry work, or commercial driving would be considered an asset.
- Ability to undertake heavy lifting safely and efficiently during demanding physical tasks.
- Experience working on both residential and commercial projects is preferred but not mandatory.

Pay: £13.00-£20.00 per hour
