We’re looking for a strategic, analytical Demand Planner who enjoys turning data into insight, collaborating across functions, and shaping demand planning excellence across European markets.
In this role, you will lead regional demand planning for metal cans and ends, ensuring accurate, SKU‑level forecasts that support strong customer service, efficient operations, and confident business decisions.
Your Role & Impact
As Regional Demand and Forecasting planner, you will own and drive the regional demand planning strategy, balancing statistical forecasting with commercial insight and customer collaboration. You will play a key role in Integrated Business Planning (IBP), supporting both short‑term execution and mid‑term planning while managing product lifecycle changes and new product launches.
You’ll work closely with Sales, Supply Chain, Customers, and Production teams to ensure demand plans reflect real market needs and support business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Demand Forecasting & Planning
Own regional, SKU‑level demand forecasts, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and alignment with business objectives
Integrate short‑term (STP) and mid‑term (MTP) planning horizons
Develop and maintain robust statistical and customer‑driven forecast models
Build and compare what‑if scenarios based on promotions, supply constraints, or demand shifts
Provide demand insights for S&OP and S&OE processes
Data Analysis & Insights
Collect, clean, and analyze data from multiple sources
Identify trends, risks, and opportunities impacting demand
Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for stakeholders
Monitor and improve forecast accuracy KPIs, driving root‑cause analysis and continuous improvement
Product Lifecycle & NPI Management
Lead demand planning for new product introductions (NPI) and product lifecycle management (PLM)
Ensure smooth transitions from launch through growth, maturity, and phase‑out
Align forecasts with launch plans, customer commitments, and production readiness
Manage SKU changes from introduction to obsolescence
Support portfolio decisions with strong analytical insight
Customer & Commercial Collaboration
Partner with Sales and Key Customers to gather demand signals and align forecasts
Run volume alignment sessions with regional teams and key accounts
Incorporate customer input and available POS data into demand plans
Present SKU‑level insights clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences
Systems, Reporting & Process Excellence
Act as a key business partner for SAP IBP, supporting configuration, optimization, and ways of working
Collaborate with system and transformation teams and external consultants
Create dashboards, reports, and visualizations to support decision‑making
Standardize demand planning methodologies across the region
Champion best practices in forecasting, analytics, and data management
Leadership & Ways of Working
Act as a subject‑matter expert and mentor within the wider demand and supply community
Promote a culture of accuracy, accountability, and customer focus
Influence without formal authority in a matrix environment
What We’re Looking For
Experience & Education
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or Data Science
5+ years’ experience in demand planning, forecasting, analytics, or supply chain roles
Experience in FMCG, manufacturing, or packaging environments is a strong advantage
Skills & Expertise
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to turn data into decisions
Advanced Excel skills (macros a plus); knowledge of Python or SQL is an advantage
Experience with demand planning and ERP systems
Knowledge of SAP IBP / SAP ECC / SAP HANA and S&OP processes is highly desirable
Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, international environment
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
