Café Assistant at Café Vanilla at Burnham Nurseries Ltd.
We are a busy, independent and friendly café within a specialist orchid nursery near Newton Abbot and we are looking for a new member of the team.
This will be a part time permanent position.
There will be regular shifts but you may also be needed for holiday and sickness cover so applicants must be able to be flexible without other work commitments that could conflict. The shifts are daytime within our opening hours of 10am – 3pm and will include one weekend each month. Hours will usually be from 13 to 18 per week on 3-4 days.
Previous café experience is vital as this will help settle into the team more quickly. This should include taking orders, cash handling, good customer service, waiting on tables, cleaning and clearing, general kitchen duties. Barista coffee training would be an advantage but not essential, training will be provided.
Applicants should be well presented, friendly with good customer service skills, keen to learn, responsible and happy to work in our friendly team. Own transport is vital as we are outside of the town.
