We are seeking a passionate and dedicated SEN (Special Educational Needs) Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant educational community. Responsibilities
- Assist classroom teachers in delivering tailored lessons and activities designed for students with special educational needs
- Support children with autism and other disabilities by implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior management strategies
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to promote engagement, communication, and social skills development
- Help create a safe, welcoming environment by supervising activities and ensuring the well-being of all students
- Foster positive relationships through effective communication, patience, and understanding of each child's unique needs
- Assist with daily routines such as meal times, toileting, and sensory activities to promote independence
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and parents to monitor progress and adapt support strategies accordingly
Qualifications
- Experience working with children in educational or care settings, especially those with autism or disabilities
- Knowledge of special education practices and strategies for supporting diverse learning needs
- Prior experience working with individuals with disabilities or in toddler care is highly desirable
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, colleagues, and parents
- Ability to remain patient, adaptable, and proactive in a fast-paced environment
