Main Purpose of the Role
As Yard Supervisor on our new and busy twilight shift, you’ll help keep one of our biggest automotive sites running smoothly. You’ll work in a fast‑paced yard environment, supporting the Yard Manager with the safe parking, movement and control of all vehicles on site. This is a hands‑on, outdoor role where you’ll lead by example, stay calm under pressure and make sure the team delivers high standards throughout the evening. You must be comfortable working twilight hours and being outdoors in all weather conditions.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate all vehicle storage, parking, and movement across the yard to meet operational requirements.
- Ensure vehicles enter and leave the site in line with scheduled delivery and collection times.
- Maintain accurate documentation and vehicle locations, supporting efficient workflow and SLA compliance.
- Uphold Health & Safety standards for all colleagues and visitors, preventing accidents and ensuring safe working practices.
- Support, train and develop yard staff, deputising for the Yard Manager when required and resolving issues promptly.
Knowledge and Experience Required
- Full Valid UK Driving Licence.
- Previous team leader or supervisory experience within a yard, logistics, automotive or similar operational environment.
- Ability to work independently, make effective decisions under time pressure, and maintain high standards.
- Confident using IT systems, including Microsoft Office and handheld devices.
- Positive, proactive attitude with strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
