We are looking for a confident and personable Public Areas Attendant to help us create that experience. You will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness, presentation and organisation of the hotel’s shared spaces while being a warm, visible and approachable presence for our guests.
This is more than a cleaning role. It is a guest-facing position where your personality matters. Whether you are offering directions, responding to a request or simply noticing an opportunity to make someone’s day a little brighter, you will help create genuine connections and memorable moments of delight.
What you’ll be doing
- Cleaning and maintaining all hotel public areas to a consistently high standard
- Caring for spaces including the reception and lobby, corridors, public toilets, meeting and event areas, and other shared guest facilities
- Carrying out tasks such as vacuuming, mopping, dusting, polishing and sanitising
- Regularly inspecting public areas to identify cleaning needs, presentation issues or potential safety hazards
- Ensuring public toilets are cleaned and sanitised regularly, fully stocked and always presented to an excellent standard
- Using the correct equipment and approved cleaning products safely and in line with established procedures
- Responding promptly and professionally to guest requests or concerns relating to cleanliness and hotel facilities
- Reporting maintenance problems, damage, hazards, suspicious behaviour and lost property without delay
- Assisting with the preparation or resetting of public areas for meetings, events and special functions when required
- Welcoming guests with warmth, confidence and a genuine smile
- Offering assistance, answering questions and helping guests find their way around the hotel
- Using your initiative to recognise opportunities to create thoughtful moments of delight
- Working closely with Reception, Housekeeping and other hotel teams to ensure a seamless guest experience
- Protecting guest privacy and following all hotel safety, security and emergency procedures
- Keeping cleaning equipment, materials and storage areas clean, tidy and well organised
- Being familiar with the hotel, its facilities and the local area so you can confidently assist guests
What we’re looking for
Previous experience in a similar cleaning, hotel or public-area position is essential. Just as importantly, we are looking for someone with the personality and confidence to bring True Hospitality to life.

This is an active role involving extended periods of standing and walking, as well as bending, reaching and lifting. You should be comfortable carrying out these duties safely throughout your shift.
