Overview
Westmann Contracts is looking for a reliable and hardworking General Labourer to join our growing team.
We carry out commercial refurbishment, maintenance and building projects across the UK. The role will be varied and involve supporting our trades and site teams with a range of general building and labouring duties.
Duties will include:
- General labouring and assisting joiners, builders and other trades
- Painting and basic decorating
- Groundworks, digging and site preparation
- Concreting, paving and minor drainage works
- Minor demolition and strip-out work
- Loading, unloading and moving materials
- Assisting with deliveries and waste removal
- Keeping sites and working areas clean, tidy and safe
- Using basic hand and power tools
- Following RAMS and all site health and safety procedures
- Travelling and working away from home when required
What we’re looking for:
- Previous experience in general building, painting or groundworks is preferred but not essential.
- Commitment to safety procedures and maintaining a clean work environment.
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to perform manual labour outdoors in various weather conditions.
- A good attitude and willingness to learn.
- Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team.
- Willing to travel and occasionally work weekends.
- CSCS card preferred.
- Full UK driving licence preferred.
